Irish Blessing – Anonymous
This traditional Irish poem is very precious to us as we used it at our Daddy’s funeral. The prayer can be used for various occasions but in essence it is telling us not to worry because God will always have our back, providing us with a path that will lead us through life and the belief that we will not be parted from our loved ones forever.
May the roads rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
