Can I Get Bereavement Support
When you have lost a loved one you may find coping with grief incredibly difficult. If you are finding that your feelings of grief are affecting your life then you may benefit from finding bereavement support in order to help you through this very emotional time. If you're not sure how you feel, you could try the NHS mood self-assessment.
If you feel like you are suffering from stress, anxiety or depression, you can refer yourself directly for free psychological therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) via the NHS.
You don’t have to go through bereavement alone. There are lots of ways to get support, whether you prefer to talk to someone in person, on the phone, or join an online community.
Below is a list of helpful organisations that may be able to offer you the support you need, they range from general bereavement help to specific support networks.
Cruse Bereavement Care – England & Wales
This is the largest bereavement support organisation for both adults and children in the UK. Cruse Bereavement Care provides one-to-one support, grief counseling and other help and resources to anyone who has suffered bereavement. Child Bereavement UK
Child Bereavement UK provides support for children after a loved one has passed and for families who have lost a child.

The Lullaby Trust
The Lullaby Trust provides emotional support and grief counselling for parents after the sudden and unexpected loss of a baby or child. It also raises awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

Support After Murder and Manslaughter
Support to those who have been bereaved as a result of murder or manslaughter. Support is offered through a telephone helpline, information and other activities, including local groups.

The BEAD Project offers support and grief counselling for people after the death of a loved one from alcohol and drug use. This support is provided by Cruse Bereavement Care, including specific advice on working with the police and dealing with social stigma.
